Teradyne
Teradyne Self Service Licensing Portal

IMPORTANT NOTICES

1) The SSL portal address of https://teradyne.subscribenet.com is being removed at the end of 2023 and users must use the SSL portal address of https://teradyne.flexnetoperations.com, currently either of these addresses are functional. This change also applies to the portal address used by the SSL activation utility and Fleet Manager. A Product Support Bulletin (PSB 1334) has been published on eKnowlege with details on the change and what the user needs to do. Users can either update the configuration of the SSL version that they are running, or they can update to a newer version of SSL (6.4.491 or later).

On 9/22/2023 the portal was updated so that support for TLS1.0 was removed.

Because of this change on the portal it is possible that using certain combinations of SSL versions and Windows the user may see SSL/TLS error when attempting to activate or return a license.

Please upgrade to SSL Version 6.7.xx (and later) to resolve these errors.

Alternatively, you can manually change your registry settings to resolve these errors. SSL versions prior to 6.7.xx requires the following registry key to be added for both Windows 7 and Windows 10 to enable the use of TLS1.2:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319]
"AspNetEnforceViewStateMac"=dword:00000001
"SchUseStrongCrypto"=dword:00000001

The following registry keys are required to be added for Windows 7 only, there are no changes needed in Windows 10 to enable the use of TLS1.2:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.0\Client] "Enabled"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1\Client] "Enabled"=dword:ffffffff

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Client] "Enabled"=dword:ffffffff

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.0\Client] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1\Client] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Client] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.0\Server] "Enabled"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1\Server] "Enabled"=dword:ffffffff

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Server] "Enabled"=dword:ffffffff

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.0\Server] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1\Server] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Server] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

Windows XP does not support TLS v1.2, and so any license management has to use the offline activations methods.
